The medovik is a sweet spread to Russia and the former Soviet Union, whose main ingredients are honey and condensed milk.
It is a dessert that requires a long preparation. It consists of layers of biscuit with creamy filling, and covered with nuts. Soft texture, has a taste of caramelized sugar.
Before being consumed, the medovik must also rest in refrigerator for a whole night.
Russian honey cake
This cake is eight paper-thin cake layers with a creamy, slightly tangy filling and coating. It mostly tastes like dreamy frosted graham crackers.
