Recently I am addicted to JavaScript. After seeing cool stuff in Chrome Experiments, I begin to learn JQuery by John Resig. His processing visualization language JavaScript porting, Processing.js, recently got a new web site. I believe it is a very cool library. It is an open programming language for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions for the web without using Flash or Java applets. I decided to take a look and change my web site header to animated canvas.

Add Gravatar in WordPress Comments

Recently I start using Gravatar (an abbreviation for globally recognized avatar). It is a free service for providing globally-unique avatars which was created by Tom Werner for blogs and web forums. I want to embedded it in my WordPress 2.7 template. So I try to insert the additional code as below in comments.php and it works. I set my icon size to 50x50. Others might like 40x40. It's depend on personal preference.

Yesterday April 22 is Earth Day. A day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. Here I would like to share an application that I have been using to care our mother earth by monitoring energy efficiency in my computers. It is Edison by Verdiem. It is free but only available for Windows XP or Windows Vista platform. It might support more platform in the future. Currently my estimated annual savings is $71.62 with 693.31 kWh energy and 9.44.98 pounds CO2. I hope you will like it. Let's be green.

I found it very interesting and useful especially in this global economic downturn. One of my co worker just lost his job because of the software that he is working now does not bring revenue to the company even though he is one of the senior software developer in the company. It is good to see video chat feature in Google mail now. But I still have to install plug in in order for it to work. Any way, it is still a cool feature. I believe it is a challenging task for Serge.
