The Beginning of 2021
I back to work this week and continue the tasks that are left over from last year. The journey continues in 2021. I hope this year will be better that last year and prepare for challenging problems ahead of me.
Syrniki (Belarusian: сырнікі; Russian: сырники) or syrnyky (Ukrainian: сирник[и]) are fried Eastern Slavic quark (curd cheese) pancakes. In Russia, they are also known as tvorozhniki (творо́жники). They are a part of Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian, Latvian (sirņiki) and Serbian cuisine. Their simplicity and delicious taste have made them very popular in Eastern Europe.
Börek (also burek, bourekas or boreg and others) is a family of baked filled pastries made of a thin flaky dough such as phyllo or yufka. Common fillings are made with meat, cheese, leafy greens (usually spinach) or potatoes. Börek are found in the cuisines of the Balkans, the South Caucasus, the Levant, Central Asia, and some Eastern and Central European countries. A börek may be prepared in a large pan and cut into portions after baking, or as individual pastries. Börek is occasionally sprinkled with sesame or nigella seeds.
We added the three ingredients cheesecake recipe with some cream of tartar. It tastes good, but it is more like a baked cheesecake than a souffle cheesecake.

Osechi-ryōri (御節料理, お節料理 or おせち) are traditional Japanese New Year foods. The tradition started in the Heian period (794-1185). Osechi are easily recognizable by their special boxes called jūbako (重箱), which resemble bentō boxes. Like bentō boxes, jūbako are often kept stacked before and after use.
